About Dr Marie

Chiropractic work is not just a job for me, it is my passion and I look forward to helping people for many years to come.
Why I became a Chiropractor
Before becoming a chiropractor, I worked as an archivist in a nuclear waste treatment plant in Normandy. After a six-month shutdown, I had a huge backlog of work involving computers, bending, and lifting. Just as I finished, I placed the last box down—and couldn’t stand up!
With no back doctor in town, two colleagues carried me to a chiropractor. After one treatment, I felt an incredible change—so much so that I nearly fainted. My spine was corrected, my walk improved, and my shoes wore evenly again.

A story that changed my life
The chiropractor shared his story: his father suffered unbearable back pain, leading to depression and suicidal thoughts. After 4–5 chiropractic sessions, his pain vanished, and his depression lifted.
His story, combined with my own experience, inspired me to train as a chiropractor in the USA.

Qualifications
Graduated from Life University, Marietta, Georgia, USA, December 1993
Qualification: Doctor of Chiropractic
1998 attained certification in B.E.S.T. “Morter” technique
Bio Energetic Synchronisation Technique (B.E.S.T.) developed by Dr. M.T. Morter. A gentle healing system which is used to address stress and promote muscular and circulatory balance in the body.
The B.E.S.T. technique is low impact and low force. I use it to treat musculoskeletal conditions, vertigo, headaches resulting from tension and stress, sciatica, and whiplash. This technique helps with relaxation and promotes a better quality of sleep.

Work Experience
In 1993, I started working for a Chiropractic practice in Italy which was for one year. I then worked for four years at a Chiropractic practice in San Sebastian. In 1997, I set up my own practice until 2020. After this, I was contemplating retiring, but as I love my Chiropractic work so much, I decided to go part-time. Besides working part-time, I have also been travelling which combines my two passions, travel and Chiropractic.
I am experienced in lecturing and enjoy public speaking. I have also conducted workshops for my patients, focusing on spine care e.g. posture, diet, exercise, and osteoporosis.
A native French speaker, I also speak English and Spanish fluently. I also have a good understanding of Italian having worked in Italy for one year.
